Ingredients
  

  • 6 –8 fresh oysters shucked
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • A squeeze of lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Hot sauce to taste
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

Instructions
 

Step 1: Make The BBQ Sauce

  • Mix the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a small pot. Warm it over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, just until it thickens a bit.

Step 2: Finish The Sauce

  • Add the butter, a splash of lemon juice, and however much hot sauce you like. Let it simmer for another minute, then take it off the heat. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.

Step 3: Get The Oysters Ready

  • Lightly coat the shucked oysters with olive oil. Heat your grill or a stove top grill pan to medium high, then set the oysters (in their shells or a heat safe dish) on the grill.

Step 4: Grill And Serve

  • Cook the oysters for 5–6 minutes, until the edges start to curl. Spoon the warm BBQ sauce generously over each one. Serve right away with lemon wedges or a splash of extra hot sauce.
