Myron Mixon BBQ Sauce Recipe blends ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, mustard, spices, soy sauce, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmered gently for 15 minutes, it thickens and develops rich flavours. Adjust sweetness, tang, or heat to taste. Perfect for grilling.
Grab a medium saucepan and toss in all your ingredients ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, maple syrup, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, pepper, soy sauce, a few drops of liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce.
Stir It Up:
Put the pan on medium heat and whisk everything together until it’s nice and smooth.
Let It Simmer:
Once it starts to bubble gently, turn the heat down and let it simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes. Stir it every now and then so nothing sticks. It’ll start to thicken up a bit as it cooks.
Taste Test:
Give it a taste. Want it spicier? Add more cayenne. Too tangy? A little more honey might help. Play with the balance until it tastes right to you.
Cool & Save:
When it’s done, take it off the heat and let it cool down to room temp. Pour it into a clean jar or bottle with a tight lid. Keep it in the fridge it’ll stay good for about two weeks.
