Lemon Juice Recipe is a refreshing homemade drink made from fresh lemons, water, and a sweetener like sugar or honey. The amount of lemon juice produced depends on the size of the lemons, usually enough for four servings. I decided to make this lemon juice recipe after seeing fresh lemons at the market and imagining a cool, tangy drink for a hot day.
2–3 tablespoons sweetener: sugarhoney, or maple syrup (to taste)
Instructions
Step 1: Get The Lemons Ready
Start by giving your lemons a good wash. Cut each one in half and squeeze out the juice using a citrus juicer or just your hands. Make sure to pick out any seeds.
Step 2: Combine With Water
Pour the fresh lemon juice into a pitcher and add about 2 cups of cold water. Give it a good stir. You can add more or less water depending on whether you like it stronger or more mellow.
Step 3: Add Sweetness
Mix in 2–3 tablespoons of your favourite sweetener sugar, honey, or maple syrup all work. Stir until it’s completely dissolved, then taste and adjust if you want it a bit sweeter.
Step 4: Chill And Serve
Pour the lemon juice into glasses over ice if you like it cold. You can also add a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint for a fresh, decorative touch. Enjoy right away!
