Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and salt.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk everything together until fully combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to simmer, stirring occasionally. Let it cook for about 10-15 minutes or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add more vinegar for tang, more honey or brown sugar for sweetness, or a pinch more cayenne if you like extra heat.
  5. Once the sauce has reached the desired thickness and flavor, remove from heat and let it cool. Transfer the sauce to a storage container and refrigerate.
