In a small saucepan, combine the corn syrup, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
Stir in the ground ginger, chili powder, and Tabasco sauce. Start with ½ teaspoon of Tabasco if you prefer it mild, and adjust to taste.
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir the mixture continuously until it starts to bubble gently.
Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will slightly thicken and the flavors will meld.
Remove from heat and allow to cool. Transfer to an airtight jar or bottle and refrigerate. The flavor improves after a few hours or overnight.
