Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup halal certified apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons halal Worcestershire style sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce regular or low sodium, halal certified
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder optional, for heat

Instructions
 

Warm The Base:

  • Set a medium saucepan over medium heat and drizzle in the olive oil. Let it heat for about half a minute.

Toast The Spices:

  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder (if you like it spicy), salt, and black pepper. Stir them around for about a minute just long enough to bring out their fragrance.

Mix In The Liquids:

  • Pour in the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, Worcestershire style sauce, molasses, and water. Whisk everything together until smooth and blended.

Add Sweetness:

  • Stir in the brown sugar and keep mixing until it’s fully dissolved into the sauce.

Let It Simmer:

  • Turn the heat down low and let the sauce cook gently for 10–12 minutes, stirring every so often, until it thickens to your liking.

Cool And Store:

  • Take the pan off the heat and allow the sauce to cool completely. Pour it into a clean jar or bottle with a tight lid and store it in the fridge. It will keep well for up to two weeks.
