This Grilled Mushroom Recipe highlights fresh mushrooms cooked with simple yet flavourful ingredients like olive oil, garlic, herbs, and a touch of balsamic vinegar or soy sauce. The main speciality of this recipe lies in its smoky, tender texture achieved through grilling, which enhances the natural earthy flavor of the mushrooms.
300–400 g fresh mushroomsbutton, cremini, or a mix, cleaned and patted dry
2–3 tbsp olive oil
Salt & black pepper to taste
1tbspbalsamic vinegar or soy sauce
1tspminced garlic
2tbspbutter
2tspfinely minced parsley
Instructions
Mix The Marinade
Stir together some olive oil, minced garlic, a splash of balsamic vinegar or soy sauce, plus a bit of salt and black pepper. Add the mushrooms and toss them until they’re fully coated. Let them sit for about 10 minutes so they can soak up the flavours.
Grill The Mushrooms
Warm up a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat. Melt a small amount of butter on the surface, then lay the mushrooms on the grill. Cook them for about 5–7 minutes on each side, until they’re browned, tender, and slightly charred.
Serve Them Up
Take the mushrooms off the grill and toss them right away with the rest of the butter. Finish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley and serve while they’re still warm great as a side or a simple appetiser.
