Ingredients
2handfuls fresh spinach
1cupchopped kalestems removed
1medium green applecored and chopped
1medium cucumberpeeled if not organic, chopped
3stalks celerytrimmed
1-inchpiece fresh gingerpeeled
Juice of ½ lemon
Handful of fresh parsley or mintoptional, for extra freshness
Instructions
Step 1. Get Everything Ready:
Give all your fruits and veggies a good rinse. Tear the kale leaves off the stems, peel the ginger, core and chop the apple, and cut the cucumber and celery into smaller pieces so they’re easier to blend or juice.
Step 2. Juice Or Blend:
If you have a juicer, run all the ingredients through it, starting with the leafy greens. If you’re using a blender, toss everything in along with the lemon juice and add about half a cup of water to help it blend nicely.
Step 3. Make It Smooth (Optional):
If you want your juice extra smooth, strain it through a fine sieve or a nut milk bag. Press gently to squeeze out all the juice.
