Ingredients
  

  • cups water
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger root peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 –2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

Step 1: Boil The Ginger

  • Pour 1½ cups of water into a small saucepan and add the sliced ginger. Heat over medium until it comes to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer gently for 5–7 minutes so the ginger flavor really comes through.

Step 2: Strain And Sweeten

  • Take the pan off the heat and strain the tea into your favourite cup. While it’s still warm, stir in 1–2 teaspoons of honey or maple syrup to taste.

Step 3: Add Lemon And Enjoy

  • Mix in about ½ teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Drink it right away while it’s hot. For a little extra touch, you can float a thin slice of ginger or a lemon wedge on top.
