Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Garlic grater or microplane
  • Small saucepan (if using butter for warming)
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup plain whole milk yogurt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic finely grated
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill finely chopped
  • tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter optional for a smoother, richer finish

Instructions

Mix The Base

  • In a medium sized bowl, stir together the yogurt, sour cream, and mayo until the mixture is nice and smooth.

Add The Flavour

  • Add in the lemon juice, grated garlic, onion powder, chopped dill, and Dijon mustard. Stir everything together so the flavours are evenly mixed.

Optional Warm It Up

  • If you prefer a smoother, creamier texture, melt a bit of butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add your sauce mixture and gently stir until it’s just warmed through about 1 to 2 minutes. Don’t let it boil; you’re just blending and softening the flavours.

Serve It How You Like

  • For a cool, tangy dip or sauce, pop it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. If you’re after something warm and velvety, go ahead and serve it right away.
