Equipment

  • Blender or juicer
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving glasses

Ingredients

  • 1 packed cup fresh dandelion leaves
  • 1 medium green apple cored and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½- inch piece fresh ginger peeled (optional)
  • 1 –1½ cups cold water
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • 1 cup chopped kale
  • 1 –2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup or to taste (optional)

Instructions

Get Your Ingredients Ready

  • Give all your produce a good rinse. Chop the dandelion leaves, apple, celery, kale, pineapple, and ginger into pieces that will blend easily.

Load Everything Into The Blender

  • Add the chopped dandelion leaves, kale, apple, pineapple, celery, ginger, and a splash of lemon juice to the blender. Start with 1 cup of cold water.

Blend Until Smooth

  • Turn the blender on high and blend until everything is silky smooth. If it’s too thick, add up to another ½ cup of water. Taste it, and add a little honey or maple syrup if you like it sweeter.

Strain And Enjoy

  • For a silky juice, strain it through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth. Pour over ice if you like, and drink it fresh!
