Ingredients
  

For The Cake:

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup Creme de Menthe liqueur
  • 1 16 oz can chocolate syrup
  • 1 3.75 oz package vanilla instant pudding mix
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • A few drops of green food coloring optional, for a brighter green color

For The Frosting:

  • 2 cups cold heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Creme de Menthe liqueur
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup butter softened
  • ¼ –½ cup chopped nuts optional
  • ¼ –½ cup shredded coconut optional

Optional Toppings:

  • Chocolate shavings
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Crushed mint candies

Instructions
 

Step 1: Preheat And Prep

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and dust it lightly with flour, or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Make The Cake Batter

  • In a large bowl, combine the white cake mix, sour cream, vegetable oil, eggs, Creme de Menthe liqueur, and a few drops of green food colouring if you want a festive look. Beat everything together with an electric mixer on medium speed until the batter is smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Bake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.

Step 4: Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the chocolate syrup, vanilla instant pudding mix, and orange juice until smooth. Spread this over the cooled cake and let it sit for 10–15 minutes so it sets.

Step 5: Whipped Cream Frosting

  • Chill a mixing bowl and beat the heavy whipping cream with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a splash of Creme de Menthe liqueur until soft peaks form. In another bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.

Step 6: Frost The Cake

  • Spread the frosting evenly over the chocolate pudding layer. If you like, sprinkle with chopped nuts or shredded coconut.

Step 7: Decorate And Serve

  • Add chocolate shavings, mini chocolate chips, or crushed mint candies on top. Chill the cake for at least an hour to let the flavours come together. Slice and enjoy!
