Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cranberries fresh or frozen; approx. 200–240 g
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons sweetener such as honey, maple syrup, or sugar adjust to taste
  • Juice of ½ tablespoon lemon & pinch of salt

Instructions
 

Boil The Cranberries

  • Grab a medium pot and toss in the cranberries with some water. Set it on the stove over medium high heat and bring it to a boil.

Let Them Simmer

  • Once boiling, turn the heat down to medium low. Let the cranberries simmer for around 15 minutes, stirring now and then, until they’ve burst and softened up.

Strain Out The Juice

  • Pour the hot mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a large bowl or pitcher. Use the back of a spoon to press the berries and squeeze out all the juice. You can toss the leftover pulp, or keep it for baking or smoothies.

Add Flavour

  • Mix in your preferred sweetener, a splash of lemon juice, and a small pinch of salt. Stir well until everything’s dissolved. Give it a taste and adjust the sweetness to your liking.

Chill And Enjoy

  • Let the juice cool down, then pop it in the fridge to chill. Once cold, serve it over ice or just drink it as is. Refreshing and homemade!
