Combine Ingredients
- Place all the ingredients blueberries, ketchup, vinegar, molasses, brown sugar, honey, water, Worcestershire sauce, and spices into a medium saucepan. Set over medium heat.
Simmer
- Stir well and bring to a low boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer without a lid for 20 to 25 minutes. Stir occasionally until the sauce thickens and the blueberries have broken down.
Blend
- Take the pan off the heat. Blend the sauce until smooth using an immersion blender directly in the pot or transfer it to a blender.
Strain (Optional)
- If you prefer a smoother consistency, strain the blended sauce through a fine mesh sieve to remove any solids.
Cool And Store
- Allow the sauce to cool completely. Pour into a sealed jar or container and refrigerate.
Notes
Sauce thickens as it cools. Thin with water or vinegar if needed. Adjust sweetness or tanginess to personal preference.
