Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Original Bisquick mix
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Butter or cooking spray for greasing the pan
  • Optional: zest of 1 lemon
  • Optional: pinch of salt
  • Frosting of choice about 2 cups

Instructions
 

Preheat The Oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your cake pan with butter or a little cooking spray so the cake doesn’t stick.

Mix The Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, stir together 2 cups of Bisquick, ¾ cup sugar, and a pinch of salt (if you like).

Add The Wet Ingredients

  • To the dry mixture, add 2 large eggs, ½ cup milk, ¼ cup vegetable oil, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. For a fresh citrus flavor, you can also add the zest of one lemon.

Combine Everything

  • Mix all the ingredients until the batter is smooth. It should be pour able, but not too runny.

Pour The Batter

  • Pour the batter into your prepared cake pan and use a spatula to smooth the top evenly.

Bake The Cake

  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes. To check if it’s done, insert a toothpick in the center if it comes out clean, your cake is ready.

Let It Cool

  • Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frost And Serve

  • Once cooled, spread your favourite frosting over the cake. Slice it up, serve, and enjoy a delicious, moist yellow cake!
