Equipment

  • Blender or juicer
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth (optional, for smoother juice)
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Bowl for soaking dates
  • Measuring cup

Ingredients

  • 6 Autumn Glory apples cored and chopped
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 4 dates pitted and soaked in hot water for 5 minutes
  • Honey or sugar to taste (optional)

Instructions

Prep The Apples

  • Give the Autumn Glory apples a good rinse. Core them and cut into smaller chunks. You can leave the skins on unless you want a smoother finish.

Soften The Dates

  • Put the pitted dates in a bowl and cover with hot water. Let them sit for about 5 minutes so they soften up.

Blend Everything

  • Add the chopped apples, drained dates, lemon juice, and some water into a blender. Blend on high until everything’s completely smooth.

Strain It (If You Want)

  • If you prefer a clearer juice, pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a pitcher or bowl. Press down with a spoon to get all the juice out.

Sweeten To Taste

  • Give it a taste. If you want it a bit sweeter, stir in some honey or sugar until it’s fully dissolved.

Serve It Up

  • Pour into glasses and serve cold. You can chill it in the fridge or pour it over ice. Best enjoyed fresh.
