- In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, rice wine vinegar, smoked paprika, sesame oil, ground ginger, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine all ingredients thoroughly.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Let it cook for about 10–15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or spice level as needed.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the sweetness or heat by adding more brown sugar or cayenne pepper to suit your taste preferences.
This sauce is not only great for grilling but also works wonderfully as a dipping sauce for spring rolls, chicken skewers, or even as a marinade for tofu.
