Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 packet hot cocoa mix
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • Toppings: mini marshmallows whipped cream, chocolate sauce

Instructions
 

Combine The Dry Ingredients

  • Place the flour, cocoa powder, hot cocoa mix, sugar, baking powder, and a small pinch of salt into a microwave safe mug. Stir until everything is blended and the mixture looks smooth.

Add The Wet Ingredients

  • Pour in the milk, oil, vanilla, melted butter, and hot water. Mix until the batter is completely smooth with no dry spots.

Mix In The Chocolate Chips

  • Stir in the chocolate chips so they’re evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Microwave The Cake

  • Heat the mug in the microwave for about 70 to 90 seconds. The surface should look set but still a bit soft in the center stop cooking before it dries out.
